The observance function organised by the Government of Manipur, commenced from 8 am at Yaiskul Hicham Yaichampat memorial park, the place where Bir Tikendrajit was cremated, followed by offering of floral tribute at Thangal General memorial site, Palace Compound.<br \/>\nThe Chief Minister of Manipur Shri O. Ibobi Singh led the people in paying floral tribute at Hicham Yaicham memorial site. Many SPF Council of Ministers and top officials also joined the general public in offering floral at the memorial sites.The observance continued in the evening with the Chief Minister leading the people in paying obeisance to the martyrs at Kangla and later at BT Park.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><a href=\"https:\/\/manipur.gov.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/photo1_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3293\" alt=\"Photo1_1\" src=\"https:\/\/manipur.gov.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/photo1_1.jpg\" width=\"448\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The observance of 119th Patriot\u2019s day at BT Park was held with His Excellency the Governor of Manipur Shri Gurbachan Jagat and Chief Minister Shri O. Ibobi Singh as chief guest and President respectively, paid Floral tributes and gun salutes were paid to the departed souls. The CM led team proceeded to the tomb of General Thangal at Palace Compound and paid floral tributes to the departed soul. A contingent of Manipur Rifles paid a gun salute as a mark of respect to the martyr.<br \/>\nApart from floral tribute paid to the martyrs, Manipur Rifles band party played the &#8216;last post&#8217; paying homage to the departed souls in addition to gun salute by the soldiers. Two minutes silence was also observed on the occasion.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Independence Day celebration, 15th August, 2011<\/span>:<br \/>\nAs celebrated throughout the country, The Government of Manipur celebrated the 65th Independence Day at Manipur Rifles parade Ground with the Chief Minister of Manipur Shri O. Ibobi Singh as<br \/>\nChief guest and hoisted the tri colour flag of India and received salute of the march past contingents. On the occasion 26 personnel were awarded Police Medals besides conferring Bravery awards to 2 children.<br \/>\nSpeaking at the occasion, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh announced the launching of a new scheme called Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakaram (JSSK) under National Health Mission in Manipur. Highlighting the developmental projects which have been implemented successfully as well as those which are under implementation, the Chief Minister said that the Government has been able to accomplish all these because of the support of the people.<br \/>\nHe also appealed to the people for continued support to the Government in taking the State forward to the path of development and prosperity.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Sadbhavana Diwas observed, 20th August, 2011:<\/span><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/manipur.gov.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/photo6_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-3294\" alt=\"Photo6_1\" src=\"https:\/\/manipur.gov.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/photo6_1.jpg\" width=\"448\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a>As celebrated throughout the country the 67th Birth Anniversary of the then Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi was also celebrated in the state where one and all took the Sadbhavana oath.<br \/>\nThe state function was held at the conference hall of Manipur Secretariat where Th Devandra, Minister for Law and Legislative Affairs was the Chief Guest.<br \/>\nThe function was also attended by top ranking civil and police officials.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">National cleanliness day observed, October 2, 2011<\/span>:<br \/>\nNational Cleanliness Day, to commemorate the 142nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, organised by the State Home Department, was held at Gandhi Memorial Hall where floral tributes were paid to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi as a mark of respect, led by his Execellency the Governor of Manipur Shri Gurbachan Jagat followed by the Chief Minister, O Ibobi Singh along with his Council of Ministers.<a href=\"https:\/\/manipur.gov.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/photo7_1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3296\" alt=\"Photo7_1\" src=\"https:\/\/manipur.gov.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/photo7_1.jpg\" width=\"448\" height=\"298\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWhile celebrating the National Cleanliness Day we should contribute our best to ensure peaceful co-existence and to make all-out efforts to keep our body, mind and soul clean, stressed the Governor in his address. Conveying that the Nation is observing National Cleanliness Day all over the country, he also recalled Mahatma Gandhi\u2019s struggle for freedom from the British yoke using Non-violence (Ahimsa) as his most powerful weapon.<br \/>\nSpeaking on the occasion, Chief Minister O. Ibobi said that all communities living in the state should live peacefully with each other. This is possible only when the mind is pure and free from all unwanted thoughts.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Territorial Army Day, October 7, 2011<\/span>:<br \/>\nThe Territorial Army Day function organized by the State Government was held at the 1st Manipur Rifles Banquet Hall Presided by the Chief Minister O. Ibobi Singh.<br \/>\nThe Chief Minister of Manipur, Shri O.
